SOLD!! 1880 Tissot Naturalform Cotton Day Dress $500

SOLD!! 1880 Tissot Naturalform Cotton Day Dress $500
One of my favourite gowns inspired by one of my favourite artists, John Jacques Tissot. On the Thames is a lovely summer painting of a young lady helped from her boat, wearing a smart cotton shopping dress. I searched for weeks to find a similar fabric. Once I had that, matching the ribbon for the bows and constructing the dress, were a breeze. There's an inner button closure with hooks and bars closing the full front. Then the bows are tied over top of that. This is a very easy dress to wear and attention getting in its layered details.
I also constructed the bonnet in a Naturalform shape to mimic the one in the portrait. It is solid black silk, but does not need to be included. Should you purchase the dress with the hat, I will also include the black mitts.
My corseted measurements at the time of making were 34/24/39, but it is a little more forgiving. The second picture of the lovely model was done for a photoshoot and she is wearing the dress uncorseted. I can send more photos of individual pieces or interior shots if you requested. Price is negotiable and shipping is extra. Please email me with any inquiries. kelly@waistedefforts.com
